NotiNap Privacy Policy
Mrutyunjay Studio · Effective 30 September 2026
In short
Muting happens entirely on your phone. Notification contents never leave it. If you sign in, NotiNap backs up your setup (schedules, chosen apps, settings) to your private cloud space so you can restore it. NotiNap is free and shows ads from Google AdMob (see “Advertising” below). There are no analytics.
What NotiNap accesses on iPhone
- Screen Time (Family Controls). With your permission, NotiNap uses Apple's Screen Time to shield the apps you pick during your schedules or Quick mute. You pick apps in Apple's own picker; Apple gives NotiNap only opaque tokens, so NotiNap never learns which apps you chose, what you do in them, or how long you use them. These tokens stay on your iPhone and are never backed up.
- Notifications. NotiNap cannot read or hide other apps' notifications on iPhone; it only shows you how to set up an iOS Focus.
What NotiNap accesses on Android
- Notification access. With your permission, Android lets NotiNap see notifications that apps post. NotiNap checks which app posted each one and removes it if you have muted that app at that time. It also checks the text, in memory only, for words you chose to always let through (such as "OTP"). Notification text is never saved, logged or sent anywhere.
- Installed apps. Listed so you can pick which ones to mute.
- NotiNap's own notifications (optional): a status notification while apps are muted, and a summary when muting ends.
Accounts and backup
Signing in is optional. You can sign in with Google, with Apple, or continue as a guest.
- Account data: for Google or Apple sign-in, your name, email address and profile photo link, and a user ID. A guest gets an anonymous user ID only.
- Backup: your schedules, on Android the package names of apps you chose to mute, keyword exceptions and app preferences, with the time of the backup, your platform and app version.
- Never uploaded: notification contents, which notifications arrived, counts, or anything about other apps' messages.
Accounts and backups are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database, region us-central1), encrypted in transit, and readable only by your own signed-in account.
Advertising
NotiNap shows banner and full-screen ads served by Google AdMob. To serve, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA), IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information, ad interactions (such as views and taps) and crash/performance diagnostics. Google handles this data under its own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- iPhone: NotiNap asks for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, your IDFA is not shared and ads are not personalised using it. Change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Ads never see your notifications, your schedules, the apps you mute or your backup.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account removes your account and backup immediately. Without the app, see delete your account. "Reset all settings" or uninstalling clears the data on your phone.
Your choices
On Android, turn off Notification access at any time in Settings → Notifications → Device & app notifications. On iPhone, turn off Screen Time access in Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access. Sign out at any time; you can keep using NotiNap without an account.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Firebase processes account data only to provide sign-in and backup. Google AdMob receives the advertising data described under “Advertising” to show ads.
Children
NotiNap is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
